Christmas traditions are very important to us and we strive to also incorporate kindness and as much giving as we can into them. One of our favorites is driving around and looking at lights.
The boys get in their pjs and pile into the van for an evening of driving around and looking at lights.
As we are driving around the boys each pick their favorite house. When their house is chosen we get out of the car and place a handmade card and treat on the doorstep. The boys love making the cards thanking the person for their favorite lights and picking out a treat at the store. This year they picked the marshmallow Peeps shaped like Christmas trees. It is a wonderful time as a family and I love the anticipation and excitement as to which house will be their favorite. Every year we try to drive through a new neighborhood to see what we can find. The boys picked out some fantastic homes this year. We are extremely grateful for the beautiful and hard work that goes into these amazing light displays.
