Leo’s Grr-rrific 2nd Birthday!

Our Littleman is 2 years old! For his birthday we wanted to make it fun for all ages, budget friendly, and of course Daniel Tiger themed because that is his favorite. We had the best time and all of the kids went home worn out!

Here are the details of Leo’s Grr-ffific 2nd birthday.

Venue: Central Park Playland

We wanted a space that would be fun,  budget friendly, and suitable for a wide age range of the children at the party. Central Park Playland was perfect! The facility is indoors and provides a massive play structure for the children. There is also a small kitchen, bathroom, tables and chairs, and counter space for your party. It is closed off behind doors to make sure you have the space to yourself. You also have a party attendant to help if needed. You are allowed to bring in your own food, drinks, and decorations. The playland is rented out for 2 1/2 hours, 2 hours to play and party, and a 1/2 hour to set up and clean up. The cost to rent the facility was $75. This was an amazing deal! You do have to reserve the playland at least 6 months in advance because of how quickly it fills up. I did not know that at the time but asked to be put on a wait-list. Miraculously someone canceled and we were able to take the spot!

Decorations: Daniel Tiger Theme

All of the printable decorations I found for free online. I used them for the food tents, happy birthday banner, signs around the play area, and thank you cards. Pinterest and online have an amazing amount of free resources thanks to awesome bloggers.

I ordered the balloons, treat bags, items for the bags, and a couple decorations at Party City and picked up the morning of the party.

The table covers, yellow table decorations, silverware, plates, food storage, and treat bar storage all came for the Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree is my go to place for party supplies. Super cheap and good quality.

Food:

I tried to make as themed as I could for the party and I thought it turned out great!

Prince Wednesday’s Royal Sandwiches: Pulled pork from Costco and Shredded Chicken with slider buns also from Costco.

Goodie Bags: Daniel Tiger Create Your Own Bag Bar

I put the bags in a container with a marker to write their name. They then were able to pick what they wanted to put in the goodie bags.

Daniel Tiger Tails: I made them by dipping pretzel rods in chocolate.

Prince Wednesday’s royal suckers, bubbles, tattoos, and bracelets.

Miss Elaina’s Candy

Katerina’s Cat Treats: Bags of Goldfish crackers.

The goodie bag bar was a hit with the kids and everyone had a blast! We enjoyed celebrating Leo turning 2 and loved how the party turned out!
