Several years ago I found this easy recipe to make French Toast in the Crock-Pot. I have tweaked it through the years and have found the perfect combination for this cinnamon and amazing flavored French Toast.
You only need a few ingredients:
1 loaf of Texas Toast bread
12 eggs
2 cups milk
3 tbs brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk thoroughly.
2. Dredge each slice of bread in the mixture and place in a sprayed Crock-Pot.
3. Pour remaining mixture over bread slices.
4. Cook on low for 7-8 hours
When cooking is finished, you will have the softest, soufflé like French Toast. Scoop out desired amount and top with syrup.
This recipe is super easy and perfect to make before you go to bed. What is more amazing than waking up to a warm and yummy breakfast?
I’ve made this for years for Christmas brunch and my family always checks to make sure it will be made again. I decided to make it for a breakfast potluck at school because I know it’s a crowd favorite.
I hope you enjoy this family favorite as much as we do!
