I took a few days off from posting what we’ve been up to. To be honest I got into a little bit of a funk. Some days are easier than others and some days go better than others. This coronacation situation is hard, and I feel like some days we got it and all is good and we are amazing. Then there are days where we stay in pjams all day and I let them have way to much screen time and I feel like my nerves are shot.
It’s definitely been an emotional rollercoaster and I have to keep reminding myself to take it day by day and to be grateful that we are safe, healthy, and have each other.
With that being said, here’s what we’ve been up to.
We ordered a DIY donut kit from Duck Donuts and went to pick it up. The boys love donuts and thought it was neat that they could create their own. I got the 8 donut kit and it included a tub of glaze and several different toppings. Tasty and fun.
We had dinner over the fire one night and made s’mores using Peeps. I didn’t have marshmallows on hand but we did have an abundance of Peeps that the Easter Bunny had left. It was actually pretty delicious! We plan to have dinner on the fire again soon.
We had a family movie day. Each of us got to pick a movie that we wanted to watch and we all watched it. We took several breaks throughout the day and went outside for a bit to get energy out. The movie selections from each of us were all over the place and made for an interesting and fun movie day.
We took a ride to pick up dinner through drive thru and this picture perfectly captured the emotions and moods that have been taking place this past week.
The beverages of Coronacation. Coffee to start the day and wine to end the day.
Tomorrow is the start of another school week and one week closer to summer.
Stay safe, stay home, and wash your hands.
